The Journey to European Peace Through the Universal Power of Music Has Begun!

Madrid, Spain — Our Erasmus+ Youth Exchange project, “Contributing to European Peace Through the Universal Power of Music,” one of our institution’s visionary projects, officially started today in Madrid, the capital of Spain!

04/05/2026

“Sometimes a song tells of silence, sometimes of rebellion, and sometimes of hope.”

We set out to create an artistic solution to the fundamental problems faced by today’s youth, such as social isolation, exclusion, and lack of belonging. Our project brings together 40 young people from Turkey, Hungary, North Macedonia, Bulgaria, and host country Spain under the unifying umbrella of music. The vast majority of our participants are young people with limited social or economic opportunities; this makes the inclusivity goal of our project even more meaningful.

Project’s Main Objectives
With this exchange program, which will last for the next 10 days, we aim to:

Combat Social Exclusion: To raise awareness among young people about the causes of exclusion and prejudice.

Empathy Through Music: To strengthen social bonds by expressing emotions through rhythm and melody.

Intercultural Dialogue: To enable young people from different countries to get to know each other’s cultural codes and musical motifs.

Self-Confidence and Responsibility: To help disadvantaged young people gain self-confidence through individual performances and facilitator roles.

A Packed Activity Schedule
The project process consists of interactive sessions prepared using non-formal education methods. Our participants will not only be students but also designers of the process:

Musical Storytelling: Personal and cultural history narratives through songs.

Prejudice Breaking Workshops: Studies on identity through musical drama and role-playing.

Nature and Rhythm: Sound production and short film studies with natural objects.

Street Performance: A large open-air concert in the streets of Madrid at the end of the project, bringing together local people!

Expected Impact
At the end of the project, not only artistic skills but also 8 key areas of competence will be developed, documented with digital content production, podcast recordings, and a Youthpass certificate. The lyrics and musical drafts produced will be compiled into a digital e-brochure and made accessible across Europe.

We believe that music is not just a tool, but a key to change. We hope that this universal melody rising from Madrid will contribute to the ideal of a peaceful and inclusive Europe.
